Our University and Career Guidance Team has developed strong relationships with post-secondary institutions in Canada, U.S.A. and other countries who recognize the unique nature of Bodwell and its diverse graduates.
Our university preparation team has successfully set Bodwell graduates up with entrance scholarship opportunities and have enrolled them in top universities through direct entry and pathway programs in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration/Commerce/Management, Fine Arts, Communications and Film. Each graduating class on average, represents around 23-25 different nationalities from around the globe. About 93-94% of these students go to post-secondary study immediately following graduation. Many graduates stay within British Columbia or Canada to go to universities such as the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, University of Victoria, York University, University of Waterloo, McGill University, University of Toronto, Queen’s University, University of Alberta, Emily Carr, and many more.

Its not enough to just present the information to our students about their postsecondary options. Rather its is more about learning about their unique circumstances and tailoring a postsecondary plan that best fits the individual student. With this in mind, there are six key fundamentals that we undertake with all our students. They are paramount in our students finding success in postsecondary life and beyond.

OUR PROCESS
Our curriculum includes required courses that specifically address goal setting, self-assessment, and character building in addition to charting academic progress, navigating through postsecondary admissions requirements, and exploring postsecondary / career paths. The goal is to encourage our students not only to have a strong academic record, but become people who are versatile in areas beyond the classroom.
We offer additional support for students that want to find out more about how their unique interests and personality translates into career and postsecondary paths that best suite their individual circumstances.

Postsecondary Events at Bodwell and in Vancouver
The best way to learn more about the many postsecondary options available to our students is by hearing it directly from the universities and postsecondary institutions themselves. Each fall, Bodwell hosts 50 Canadian schools, including Canada’s top ranked University of Toronto (19th in Times Higher Education Ranking), University of British Columbia (34th in Times), McGill University (38th in Times), and McMaster University (94th in Times) amongst others.
In addition, Bodwell is visited regularly by universities representatives in the fall term. These representatives give presentations to students covering a range of topics, from the admissions process to the degree programs available within the universities they represent. There are also postsecondary fairs that occur through the year in Vancouver that students can attend. Below is a schedule of events for Bodwell and in Vancouver.
